We review the $40 Amazon tights everyone wants
I have zero shame in admitting that I pretty much live in activewear. I'm always on the hunt for the latest pair of leggings that feel like a second pair of skin while securing me in all the right places.
I already spend a lot of money on fitness gear, so when I come across high-quality, affordable activewear, it's almost inevitable it'll be added to my cart. Guilty shopaholic here.
So, when I got my hands on a pair of CRZ Yoga Naked Feeling Leggings, I jumped at the opportunity to give them a go.
The leggings have more than 10,000 five-star reviews on Amazon with countless raving comments on their similarity to lululemon tights (that retail for $119) – yet for a fraction of the price (these are a very affordable $41).
NOTE: Prices are accurate at time of publishing.
"Love these leggings, literally exactly the same as lululemon but 1/4 the price!! Perfect for running and a good-sized pocket," a review read on Amazon.
Being a lululemon lover myself, I popped my favourite pair aside and put these to the test.
The results
When I first tried them on I was blown away by how compressive and lightweight they felt. It's a part of the brand's 'Naked Feeling' collection and it truly lived up to the expectations. It had a buttery soft feel, which made them feel and fit like a second skin while giving the comfort and flexibility we all want out of our leggings.
I did find the 7/8 length to fit more full-length on me, but that wasn't a major issue.
When it came to working out, I found them to be quite versatile. I wore them (on separate occasions) to a reformer Pilates class, a weight session at the gym and during a home HIIT workout. They were also great for running errands and just lounging around.
Another thing I look for in a new pair of tights is a high rise waist.
These pants sat comfortably over my belly button, offering ample coverage to wear with a sports bra or cropped tee – while still feeling comfortable. The last thing you want to be doing during a workout is constantly pulling up your pants, so when I saw the waistband with an adjustable drawstring, it was a sigh of relief. The feature helped them stay in place.
At this point, the pants seemed to be ticking all my boxes.

But did it pass the all important squat test?
I can confidently say, after putting them to the squat test under different lighting, that they live up to their description of being opaque. I also didn't find any rolling of the waistband.
Not only are they comfortable, flattering and affordable, but they also come in 24 different colours (yes, 24!), including in red, pink, blue, navy, and leopard. They also range from sizes XS to XXL. I love how these leggings offer so many different options for a diverse audience.
Are CRZ Yoga leggings true to size?
Yes, I would say they are true to size. However, I felt like the waistband wasn't as snug as I would have liked it to be, so I could've easily sized down for that tighter feel.
In saying that, it comes down to preference and if you like a more compressive look and feel, I would suggest sizing down.
How do CRZ Yoga leggings go in the wash?
I washed and dried these tights after every use and found them to be durable enough for a machine cycle. I had no issues with colour bleeding or fading after I used a gentle and cold wash. Tick!
Are CRZ Yoga leggings value for money?
100 per cent, yes! I found these leggings gave me everything I wanted in a pair of tights at only a fraction of the cost I would normally pay.
Even if you aren't looking for a cheaper alternative to lululemons, it's still a steal and will have you looking fabulous for your next workout (or brunch)!
