Days of Our Lives' future confirmed with big news following contract negotiations
Days of Our Lives will be on the air for at least another two years after the show was renewed for its 57th and 58th seasons.
It follows yet another round of renewal negotiations, which in recent years have occurred on a yearly basis.

"After more than 55 years of bringing drama, adventure and romance to screens around the world, we are thrilled and honoured to carry on the Days of Our Lives legacy for another two years," said executive producer Ken Corday.
The show wrapped filming on its 56th season on April 26 and is currently on hiatus. Cast members set to return are Robert Scott Wilson, who plays former Necktie Killer-turned-romantic hero Ben, while Jackee Henry, who has recurred as Lani's aunt Paulina, has been made a full-time cast member.
Meanwhile, several cast members including fan-favourite Kristian Alfonso, who portrays Hope, and Victoria Konefal, who stars as Hope's daughter Ciara, left the series in Season 56.

The two-season renewal announcement is in stark contrast to the cancellation rumours that circulated at the end of 2019. At the time cast had been put on hiatus, as the show had filmed so far in advance they went on their end of year break early.
However, fans got nervous when news broke that the cast had been released from their contracts.
The fears were unfounded as the series was eventually renewed for its 56th season, which is currently airing.
Days of Our Lives premiered on US television in 1965, and recently celebrated its 14,000th episode.
